Hi everyone,

I've joined the interracial oasis because I really would like to find a darker partner. I love the contrast of colours, but also the experience I've had with Africans, in particularly, has been wonderful. I love the different culture and the language differences, also.  But, I'm wondering if it really works long distance. 

I currently correspond with a gorgeous man in Africa, who seems so wonderful, and also seems to be so into me.  But, I'm not sure if I want to take the step to travel to middle Africa, just yet. If I do, I get the impression he would expect me to marry him straight away.

Has anyone actually had successes meeting somebody 'long distance' in the internet?  Am I getting the wrong impression?

Just interested to hear other people's opinions and experiences, please.

I come from Africa myself and i can tell you that if your man is real then this could work. Yes long-distance works but the two of you must draw a timeline to meet eventually for real. If you're in a better position to do so first then go ahead. Just make sure you take at least a month long holiday and make sure you have a return ticket in case it doesn't work. I will suggest also that you should not enter into marriage immediately. Slow things down until you're sure it's not a marriage for travel purposes. However it all depends on you and the love both of you feel for each other. Long-distance for starters definitely works?

I have tried it once.....And it did not work out for me.....But I dont think that we both put our all into making it work......If I found the right person then I might try again. But I would rather have some one that I can see all the time!

ive tried a couple times myself and it didnt work out for me either and i agree i would rather be with someone that i can be with all the time its also harder to trust someone that lives that far away
